Anthony Joshua’s Road to the Fury Fight
After losing to Daniel Dubois at Wembley in 2024, Joshua returned in December 2025 with a sixth-round knockout of Jake Paul in Miami. In July 2026 he faced Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia and survived two first-round knockdowns before stopping Prenga in round two. That win cleared the way for Fury.
Joshua has a strong history in Cardiff. He beat Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker at the same Principality Stadium in front of huge crowds, and he and promoter Eddie Hearn pushed for the Fury fight to be staged in the UK.
Anthony Joshua’s Fighting Style
Joshua is a classic, athletic boxer-puncher. He works behind a stiff jab, sets up a heavy right hand and has one of the best uppercuts in the division. His knockout ratio is outstanding, but he has been vulnerable when caught cleanly, which is the biggest question mark going into the Fury fight.
